John Victor Doucette

The death occurred peacefully at the Tignish Seniors Home Long Term Care, Tignish, PEI on Sunday, October 18th, 2026, of John ‘Victor’ Doucette, formerly of Pleasant View PEI. Born September 3, 1943, he was the son of the late Leo and Josephine (Poirier) Doucette of Pleasant View.

Survived by siblings Leo ‘Junior’(Doris) of Tignish Seniors Home, Dianne (Victor)Hogan of Mill River East and Marlene(Ron) Stuart of Stanhope. Victor is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

As well as his parents, Victor was predeceased by his siblings Rita (Louis) Perry, Henry (Theresa) Doucette, Doris (Emile) Gaudet, Dorothy (Omer) Bernard and Gladys (Lloyd) Gorrill.

Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, St.Louis PEI,

With visitation on Friday, October 23, from 12:30 pm until time of funeral.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers at both the Tignish Seniors Home and the Tignish Seniors Long-Term Care - especially to his Niece/Godchild, Lorianne Keough. Also, a special mention as well to Miranda, Riva and Melissa - for the compassionate care and kindness they provided to Victor. Their presence in his life was a blessing!

We request that any consideration of donations in his memory be made to the Tignish Seniors Home / attention Lorianne Keough. These funds will be used to support the activities for all the residents.

Victor will be truly missed by all his family and friends.
